to schedule for a CDL Road Test
Requirements
needed to schedule a CDL Road Test:
1. Copy of at least a 3-yr. MVR
2. Learner’s permit
3. DOT physical card or Exemption Form
4. $50 testing fee paid
Please contact Joey
Wooten at (478) 274-7851 to make an appointment for
testing. Appointments are made upon availability.
- The test site is located at the Heart of Georgia Technical
College in Dublin, Georgia. Please enter the CDL test
site off the West Laurens High School Road. The site
is located at the north end of the W. R. Stewart Building.
- The vehicle must represent the class you are testing.
Please read the section below concerning the GVWR. Drivers
who do not have a vehicle that meets the requirements
for the specific class being tested WILL NOT BE EXAMINED.
- We test class A and B only.
Late Arrival Policy
Anyone
arriving at the CDL testing site more than 15 minutes
after the scheduled test time will forfeit his or her
test appointment. Students will be rescheduled with a
new test date, depending upon availability.
They
must schedule a new test time on the next available testing
day.
Class
A
Combination Vehicles
|
Any
combination of vehicles with a GVWR of more than 26,000
lbs providing the trailing unit itself exceeds 10,000
lbs. |
Class
B
Heavy Straight Vehicles
|
Any
single vehicle with a GVWR of more than 26,000 lbs
or any vehicle towing not in excess of 10,000 lbs.
Class B includes straight trucks and large buses,
including articulated buses. |
Class
C
Small Vehicles
|
Any
single vehicle with a GVWR less that 26,000 lbs with
the provision that these vehicles may tow a trailing
unit not in excess of 10,000 lbs. This classification
includes not private passenger vehicles and would
be issued as a Commercial Driver's License only if
designed to carry 16 or more passengers. Including
the driver, or utilized to transport hazardous material. |
