How long will it take to complete the Respiratory Therapy Program?

Eight quarters of full-time classes; this equates to two years of full-time instruction. Most students take 3 to 4 classes per quarter.

What will I be qualified to do after completion of the Respiratory Therapy Program?

You will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy and will be eligible to sit for the advanced level Board Exam. This is the highest level of credential awarded to Respiratory Therapists.

What can I do with my degree?

You can work in any patient environment as a Respiratory Therapist and be a part of an exciting and rewarding job which treats, diagnoses, and manages patients who have Respiratory disorders or diseases. You can also build upon your degree. Many graduates go on to become Certified Nurse Anesthetists, Physician Assistants, Ultrasound Technicians, or even Physicians.

What types of things will I do as a Respiratory Therapist?

You will provide therapy for children with asthma, attend deliveries and help the newborn who is born too early, provide intensive care for patients who cannot breathe for themselves, and help people who cannot help themselves.
