Often referred to as the language of business, accounting enables business entities to communicate their financial wellbeing to their stakeholders. Accounting can be defined as the process of recording the all business transactions. Accounting provides valuable information to managers for decision making. Accounting helps potential investors and creditors make informed business decisions.

Why Study Accounting:

There are really many different jobs in Accounting such as calculating how much to pay employees (Payroll Clerks), keeping up with how much money the customers owe the company (Accounts Receivable Clerk), or how much money the company owes others (Accounts Payable Clerk), and many more. Our society cannot operate without Accountants. Companies must know how they are doing financially if they are to stay in business.

You can train to become an Accountant here at the Heart of Georgia Technical College. It takes you a litttle over a year to finish the Accounting program and become eligible for an exciting career in Accounting.
