Certified Customer Service Specialist

Customer service specialists are employed by many different types of companies throughout the country to serve as a direct point of contact for customers. They are responsible for ensuring that their company's customers receive an adequate level of service or help with their questions and concerns. These customers may be individual consumers or other companies, and the nature of their service needs can vary considerably.

Why Study Certified Customer Service:

Customer service specialists held about 1.9 million jobs in 2002. Although they were found in a variety of industries, more than 1 in 4 customer service specialists worked in the finance and insurance industry. The largest numbers were employed by insurance carriers, insurance agencies and brokerages, and banks and credit unions.
