Students are highly encouraged to attend an orientation session prior to attending commercial truck driving classes.  Orientation sessions are held in Room 119.

Day Classes:

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Night Classes:

Monday - Thursday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Saturday- 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Financial Assistance:

HOPE Grant may be available for those who qualify.  Contact the financial aid office at 478-274-7833 for mor information.  Refer to the out of pocket expense sheet for fees not covered by HOPE Grant.

Work Ethics:

Job skills are necessary for obtaining employment.  However, good work habits determine one's employment success.  Productivity, attendance, teamwork, character, appearance, attitude, organization, communication, cooperation, and respect are all factors that determine the level of an employee's work ethics.  Heart of Georgia Technical College emphasizes the importance of possessing good work habits through its Work Ethics program.  A Work Ethics grade is assigned and will appear on the student's official transcript.

Career Placement:

Career Placement Services at Heart of Georgia Technical College assists students in their search for employment related to their program of study.  Career Placement aids in providing job opportunities for graduates.
