- Request an official transcript be mailed directly to HGTC’s Admissions office showing HS graduation date and GED passing test scores (not diploma) for entry into designated programs. Faxed copies may be used for acceptance pending the receipt of the official transcript.
- If you are a home school graduate or a graduate from a high school that is not accredited, please see the alternative path to admissions policy for documentation needed.
- All previous colleges attended must be listed on the application for admission. An official transcript is required for evaluation of transfer credit. A transcript from the last college attended must be received before an admissions decision will be made. For a college transcript, contact the registrar’s office at all previous post-secondary institutions and request that transcript(s) be mailed to Admissions. Faxed copies may be used for acceptance pending the receipt of an official transcript.

Take the Placement Test
- You must take the placement test (COMPASS) or provide proof of completion of college level math and English with a "C" or better before acceptance can take place. COMPASS is given at both the campus in Dublin and at the Little Ocmulgee Instructional Center in Helena. Click here for available times.

Attend Registration and Orientation
- Once accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter stating your registration and orientation day.
- You will see an advisor to register. Feel free to contact your program advisor with course specific questions.
- You must attend orientation if you are a new student to HGTC or if you have not attended HGTC in the last three years.You may also refer to the Dates to Remember calendar.
- You are required to pay all tuition and fees not covered by financial aid by noon the day before classes start.
- You will receive an ID Badge and Parking Decal after all fees are paid.
