Financial Aid

The primary purpose of financial aid is to assist students in financing their post secondary education. Students at Heart of Georgia Technical College can explore several options for financial aid in the form of grants and scholarships.

Due to the processing time for financial aid, applicants should apply four to six weeks

prior to the anticipated date for starting school. Grant and scholarship programs operate on an award year basis beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Students must apply or

re-apply each year in order to receive or continue receiving financial aid.

IMPORTANT - Financial Aid Deadline - IMPORTANT

The deadline for financial aid applications for Summer Quarter 2009 is May 4, 2009 for current students and June 8, 2009 for new students. Applications may be taken after this date, however, students who do not apply by the deadline should be prepared to pay their tuition, fees and books before the first day of the quarter.  Failure to secure financial aid or pay charges before the first day of the quarter will result in classes being dropped.
