Financial Aid
The primary purpose of financial aid is to assist students in financing their post secondary education. Students at Heart of Georgia Technical College can explore several options for financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships and Federal Work Study.
Due to the processing time for financial aid, applicants should apply four to six weeks
prior to the anticipated date for starting school. Grant and scholarship programs operate on an award year basis beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Students must apply or
re-apply each year in order to receive or continue receiving financial aid.
Heart of Georgia Technical College follows Federal Title IV policies for the awarding of Federal Student Financial Aid and follows Georgia State policies for the awarding of State Financial Aid.
IMPORTANT - Financial Aid Deadline - IMPORTANT

Applications may be taken after these dates, however, students who do not apply by the deadlines should be prepared to pay their tuition, fees and books before the first day of the term .
