| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
Bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university. In lieu of formalized educational preparation, consideration will be given to candidates with industry certifications and/or workplace experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 suite. Proven skills in oral and written communication, training skills, and knowledge of various instruction modalities. Must work well as part of a team, as well as independently; must enjoy working in a fast paced and friendly environment. |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
(In addition to the minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Three years of full-time paid work experience in field of Information Technology including hypermedia/web based application development within the past five years. Be proficient in HTML/XML. Smart Board - Notebook experience would be a plus. |
| MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Specialist will report to Director of Information Technology. Specialist is responsible for providing instructional support and faculty development for Web Application development/hypermedia, specialized program maintenance, Angel Learning, Instructional Testing and Analysis development, Tandberg Video Conferencing, and Smart Board. The Specialist will also provide technical assistance to students enrolled in online and hybrid courses. |
| TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: |
Full-time position, with some occasional evening work hours and overnight travel required. |
| SALARY: |
Salary for this position is commensurate with experience, credentials and the Technical College System of Georgia Salary Schedule. |
