PRE-K Teacher (Full-Time)

July 20, 2009, or a soon thereafter as possible

Prior work experience in Bright From the Start Georgia PRE-K program, Early Childhood Development, and/or Early Childhood Education setting is desired. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required. Extensive experience in use of personal computer as a teaching and administrative tool is desired.

Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited school in field of Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Growth and Development or closely related field required.  Master’s Degree and Georgia teacher certification in Early Childhood or related field desirable.

Responsible for preparing and using all instructional materials for

teaching Georgia approved PRE-K curriculum to a group of up to 20 four year olds.  Other duties include: scheduling and implementation of

PRE-K curriculum; supervision of a classroom paraprofessional; and supervising college interns and practicum students.  All supporting experience should be clearly reflected in application materials.

Full-time, 10 month, grant funded position with some evening work hours.

Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and credentials and the Technical College System of Georgia Salary Schedule.
